Time Spent With Your Teen is Time Well Spent

Today I spent the day with Lulu.  She had an orthodontist appointment so we decided to make a day of it.  Lulu is not one to voluntarily go to the mall; this was a rare deal.  We had a few errands and handled those first: oil change, fuel up the Jeep, and go to the bank to feed the checking account.

We were on a mission to get some jeans and maybe a few extras with minimal monetary expense.  We checked out Penney’s and Wet Seal.  Lulu thought the jeans made her thighs look fat (skinny jeans).  No problem.  We bought the ones from Penney’s.  This was a bargain with my $10 off $10 or more coupon.   I also had a spend $10 get one item up to $13 free coupon for Bath and Body Works.  We decided to get me a gift, from Lulu, and a gift for Frankie plus a few stocking stuffers.

Any time we make it up to the mall - it is an hour from home - we go to Chik-fil-a.  Lunch.  They have these adorable cow Pez dispensers; I bought one for Frankie and one for Bennie - stocking stuffers.  We noticed the Ben and Jerry’s had opened and had to make a stop there as well.  We walked the mall a bit to work off lunch and make room for ice cream.

Then it was time to head back to pick up Benny and then off to the orthodontist.  We spent the day together but did not have to break the bank.  Quality time with your teen is better than any store bought item.  It is priceless.
